Firearms Courses

Basic Firearm Handling and Cleaning:

This is a MUST take class for new or inexperienced gun owners and or users. The class covers identifying parts of the weapon, loading, unloading, disassembly, cleaning, proper lubrication and performing function test. This class is 3 hours in duration and is strictly hands on. Participants are encouraged to provide their own weapon, however one can be provided if needed. The class is designed to build confidence and expand knowledge base. Covered topics are revolvers, semiautomatic handgun, rifles and shotguns. There is no LIVE FIRE portion to this class.

Cost $35.00 per person and limited to 6 participants.

Handgun Level I:

This is a first of progressive courses designed to develop proficiency and compentency in the use of handguns. Description of handguns, components, sights, grip, trigger control, sight alignment, sight picture, basic marksmanship and target acquisition. Course will include legal updates and laws, instruction in loading/unloading, handling malfunctions, drawing and re-holstering. Students will be introduced to methods for shooting on the move, and engaging multiple targets. Students must provide their own firearm, holster, hearing and eye protection, and 200 rounds of ammunition.

Cost $25.00 per hour for one on one instruction


Handgun Level II:

This course is designed to provide the experienced shooter with practical tactical use of their handgun. Following a live-fire warm up emphasizing mastery of the basic skills in marksmanship, students will be exposed to a series of exercises involving shooting on the move, engaging multiple targets, use of cover, and live-fire shoot/don't shoot scenarios. Exposure to Airsoft training will help prepare participants for highly stressful circumstances surrounding deadly force encounters, and assist in identifying additional individual training needs. Students must provide their own firearm, holster, hearing and eye protection and 200 rounds of ammunition.

Cost $25.00 per hour for one on one instruction


Handgun Level III:

Following a brief warm up designed to assist the shooters in mastering the basic marksmanship skills, this course will progress to live-fire range exercises involving shoot/ don't shoot targets in realistic encounters. Students will be introduced to low light environments with and without the use of flashlights. The live-fire portion will conclude with positional shooting exercises designed to expose the shooters to non traditional positions (i.e. seated at a table/car, lying on their back, on their side) in which they may need to defend themselves in a deadly force encounter. The student must provide their own firearm, holster, hearing and eye protection, and 150 rounds of ammunition.

Cost $25.00 per hour for one on one instruction
